SWEETS CORNER, N.S. – A second man has died following a multi-motorcycle collision on Wentworth Road on Sept. 3.

The collision, between three motorcycles, previously claimed the life of a 64-year-old Enfield man, who died at the scene.

The driver of a second motorcycle, a 23-year-old man from London, Ontario, died on Sept. 14 at the QEII hospital in Halifax.

The London man was transported to hospital via LifeFlight on Sept. 3 with life threatening injuries following the collision.

On that day around 5 p.m. a lone motorcycle rider travelling East collided head-on with a motorcycle travelling West on Wentworth Road. According to RCMP the westbound motorcycle was being driven by a sole rider, and behind that was another motorcycle occupied by two people.

The driver of the eastbound motorcycle died at the scene. The driver of the second westbound bike required transport to hospital via ambulance, and the passenger on that bike sustained minor injuries.

An RCMP Traffic Analyst was called to the scene to assist with the investigation. Wentworth Rd. was closed for several hours during the investigation.
