Hundreds of students, staff and community members gathered at Cape Breton University’s Verschuren Centre on Thursday to celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year. The Year of the Rat doesn’t officially begin until Saturday, but CBU helped its students from China, Vietnam and South Korea mark the occasion a little early. The event featured Chinese and Korean food samples, calligraphy from China and Vietenam, and various cultural displays.
