There was no clear winner in Wednesday’s vote for the presidency of the Nova Scotia TeachersUnion.

A run-off election will be held on May 31.

Five candidates were running for the union’s top spot. Liette Doucet, who held the position for the last two years, finished last with 219 votes, so her attempt to lead the NSTU for two more years has come to an end.

Paul Wozney, with 3,423 votes, and Grant Frost, who received 2,217, will be the candidates on the May 31 ballot.

Shawn Hanifen and Cherie Abriel received 936 and 660 votes respectively.

There were 7,455 votes cast.

There are 10,700 teachers in Nova Scotia
