Police say a 59-year-old man has died after a single-vehicle crash on Black Pond Road in Yarmouth County early Monday.
Yarmouth County RCMP were called to the crash just before 1 a.m. after a van left the road and ended up in the ditch. The driver, who was the only occupant, was pronounced dead in hospital.
The road was closed for several hours as a collision analyst worked at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Kings RCMP are also investigating a single-vehicle crash that happened south of Kentville on Saturday night. A vehicle left English Mountain Road in Canaan at about 8:30 p.m. and went into the ditch. The driver was cut free by firefighters and later airlifted to hospital in Halifax.
