A 45-year-old man is dead after his car was in a collision with an SUV on Old Sambro Road on Wednesday night.
Halifax Regional Police responded to the crash at 8:05 p.m. in the 400 block, police said in a news release.
“According to witnesses, the vehicles collided while travelling in opposite directions causing both vehicle to leave the roadway.”
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
The man, 64, who was driving the SUV was treated by EHS at the scene.
Road conditions were poor at the time, police said.
Old Sambro Road was closed for several hours until the police department’s collision investigation team completed its work at the scene.
