TRURO, N.S. – Nearly $50,000 worth of tires and other items were recently stolen from a Lower Truro retailer and Colchester RCMP are asking for help with its investigation.

The primarily winter truck tires were stolen from the Canadian Tire store on Robie Street during the overnight hours between Aug. 1 and 2.

RCMP spokeswoman Cpl. Jennifer Clarke said in a news release that the suspects gained sentry to the store’s fenced-in garden centre. Also stolen were three kayaks and two stand-up-paddle boards.

Clarke said the investigation has determined a moving-style truck approached the fenced-in area in the early morning hours and was there for approximately an hour.
