TRURO, N.S. — A luncheon on Sept. 18 will celebrate the launch of the United Way of Colchester’s 2019 Local Love Giving Campaign.

Funds raised last year helped support 15 local agencies who work to improve lives in the area.

“The priorities of United Way’s work continue to focus on three key areas: Poverty to Possibility, All that Kids Can Be and Healthy People, Healthy Communities,” said Terry Hearn, executive director of the United Way of Colchester.  “The way we address these priorities is still through the generosity of businesses, employees and community members who share our vision.”

This year also marks 65 years for the United Way, first operating as The Community Chest, in Colchester County.
