MILLBROOK, N.S. — The RCMP has charged two men with offences connected to an incident where shots were fired in Millbrook on Tuesday, July 23.
Kitpu Pikun McDonald, 26, of Millbrook, has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and uttering threats. He was arrested on Tuesday and held in custody.
Robert John Joseph Gloade, 28, of Millbrook, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and uttering threats. Gloade fled the scene of the disturbance on foot and was arrested Wednesday evening.
On July 23 at 3:12 p.m., Millbrook RCMP responded to a call of a disturbance on Truro Heights Rd. One person was injured and was taken to hospital in Truro, where they were treated and released the following day.
RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Clarke said that neither the individuals who have been charged nor RCMP members were the ones who fired the shots.
The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the RCMP Northeast Nova Major Crimes Unit.
McDonald appeared in provincial court in Truro on Thursday and has been remanded into custody until a bail hearing on July 30.
