BIBLE HILL, N.S. — A barn was damaged at Truro Raceway and alcohol was stolen from the horsemen’s club some time overnight on Jan. 28-29.
Someone entered a barn and sprayed the interior with a fire extinguisher that had been installed in the building. Some items were thrown, doors were kicked, and a long overhead light was broken- leaving shards of glass below. No horses were hurt, and nothing was stolen.
Other barns were also entered and tack rooms were broken into.
It is believed the same person/people then broke into the Truro Horsemen’s Club. Glass was smashed out of a door to gain entry and liquor was stolen.
RCMP report the amount of damage and theft is not known at this time.
The investigation is ongoing and RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact them or CrimeStoppers.
