A Truro man who pled guilty to defrauding Community Services of more than $31,000 was placed on probation for one year and fined $7,500.
Gregory Alan Chase, 59, of Willow Lane was also ordered to perform 150 hours of community service no later than a year from his sentencing date.
Chase was further ordered to pay restitution of $31,052.53 to the Department of Community Services.
