A Truro firefighter was seriously injured while training at the Nova Scotia Firefighters School in Waverley, on Saturday.
The fire school released a statement saying, “On March 9th a firefighter was injured during a training evolution at the Nova Scotia Firefighters School. The firefighter received immediate medical attention from staff members prior to being transported to the hospital by EHS. The incident is currently under investigation. Our thoughts are with the firefighter and we wish them a speedy recovery.”
Truro Fire Chief Blois Currie said the firefighter, who is a male, suffered a head injury and is in hospital in Halifax.
The Department of Labour is investigating.
