Here is a look at the many ways we can connect you with your community.

Our daily paper has been continuously published in Truro since 1891. On top of that, we  offer a website, www.trurodaily.com, where people can access breaking news 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We also publish the Colchester Weekly News, which is delivered to about 22,000 homes each week in Colchester County.

Our reporters want to meet you and hear your stories, however, calling well in advance of an event gives you the best chance of connecting with a member of our professional staff.

To request coverage or share your story ideas, call 902-896-7527 or email [email protected].

Colchester Calendar is printed in both the daily and weekly papers, as well as online.

This is a free, public service provided by the Truro Daily News for non-profit groups.

Notices appear as space permits. Information should be submitted about two weeks prior to an event and include a daytime contact name and number in case we need to call for more information or clarification on any details. Notices should be less than 30 words. They can be submitted by fax, 902-893-0518, by email, [email protected] or drop them off at the office located at 6 Louise St.

The Truro Daily News receives daily requests to take photos of events and other happenings. While we make every effort to accommodate within our guidelines it is sometimes impossible for us to attend. Submitted photos are always welcome and will be considered.

Just send us your photos and include all the pertinent information (who is in them, what are they doing, the date and location) and we may publish them on our website or in the paper. High-resolution jpeg images should be sent to [email protected].

We also value your opinions and welcome letters to the editor. If you have an opinion to share on a local or provincial topic, send your letter to us. Letters are limited to about 300 words, and must include the author’s name, address and telephone number so they can be verified. Letters can also be submitted to the above email and fax number, by mail or dropped off at the office.
