Truro chamber to host info session on cannabis

Employers seeking information on how to deal with workplace issues related to cannabis, are encouraged to attend an information session on Dec. 3.

The free panel discussion is being hosted by the Truro & Colchester Chamber of Commerce on Dec. 3 at the Best Western Glengarry (11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.).

This session is intended to give employers an opportunity to ask questions and find out information they require when it comes to cannabis in the workplace.

Representatives from Occupational Health and Safety, Labour Standards and the Human Rights Commission will participate in the discussion.

Guest speakers are: Kymberly Franklin, a solicitor with the Human Rights Commission; Starla Sheppard, Labour Standards Officer; and Scott Nauss, senior director of Inspection and Compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Division
