TATAMAGOUCHE, N.S. — The Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Collaborative Emergency Centre emergency department hours have been reduced for the weekend due to a lack of physician coverage.
On Saturday, April 27 the department will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
On Sunday, April 28 it will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Patients with emergencies will be redirected to the Colchester East Hants Health Centre or the most appropriate emergency department.
Overnight emergency department coverage (8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.) provided by a paramedic, registered nurse and oversight physician team will be available as usual.
For medical emergencies, people should always call 911. General health concerns can also be directed to HealthLink, where advice and information are available around the clock by dialing 811. The Mental Health Crisis Line operates 24/7 at 1-888-429-8167.
