MILLBROOK, N.S. – A Millbrook man was transported to hospital in Halifax by EHS LifeFlight following a stabbing that occurred in the community early Thursday morning.
An RCMP spokesperson said in a news release that a 56-year-old man suffered serious stabbing injuries inside a home on Fern Drive, around 1 a.m.
A 42-year-old Millbrook man was arrested following a struggle with police after he attempted to flee the scene. The man remains IN custody, with the possibility of additional charges to follow.
The victim and the suspect are known to each other, police said.
The investigation is continuing and the unnamed suspect is to appear in provincial court at a later date.
