TRURO, N.S. – A Noel Shore man is to be sentenced on Feb. 26 on a charge of touching a person under age 14 for a sexual purpose.
Andrew Main, 57, of Highway 215, pled guilty to the charge last Oct. 30. The charge dates to between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 1989 and involves a boy who was under age 10 at the time.
A publication ban that had been in place in the case has been lifted at the request of the victim.
Main had been scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 22 in provincial court in Shubenacadie but the date was changed to await a sexual forensic assessment report that is being prepared.
