TRURO, N.S. — A new logo and tagline will be appearing around Colchester County.
During a meeting on Sept. 26 council approved a new logo and the tagline “be centred here."
The logo consists of four partial C-shapes, of different colours, linked together. The Bay of Fundy cliffs inspired the dark orange, sunsets were the inspiration for gold, and green is reflected in agriculture, natural resources and the environment. The waters of the area are represented by blue.
The tagline was chosen because of Colchester County's geographic location within the province and to promote it as a place where people can have a centred and balanced lifestyle.
The county will implement the new brand in stages. Colchester County Mayor Christine Blair said council will continue to use the coat-of-arms for formal purposes.
