TRURO, N.S. – Parts of Colchester County are in the dark this morning after heavy, wet snow and high winds caused power outages.
More than 245,000 Nova Scotia Power customers are without power, including more than 14,000 affected NSP customers in Truro and surrounding area. Most of Bible Hill is without power, while more than 1,000 residents in Tatamagouche have been affected.
Areas in Colchester County are expected to see 25 cm of snow.
Restoration times in the province range from 9:15 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. for most areas of the province, with rural areas seeing a later restoration time.
