TRURO - The Truro Youth Singers are on the road this weekend to participate in a special concert for mothers.

The local musicians will join Halifax's Aeolian Singers for a performance celebrating mothers on Sunday. The concert takes place at St. Andrew's United Church on Coburg Road at 3 p.m.

The concert will feature an eclectic afternoon of music for women's chorus, focusing on the theme, Celebrating our Mothers.

Truro resident Jacqueline Chambers conducts the Aeolian Singers, who are currently in their 34th season and are champions of new music for women.  Tickets cost $15 for adults, $10 for students, and children 12 and under are admitted for free. Tickets are available in advance from the Aeolian Singers and at the door, which opens at 2:30 p.m.
