Former Indian Brook chief facing drug charges

MILL VILLAGE, NS - A former chief of the Sipekne’katik (Indian Brook) First Nation has been charged with drug offences following a traffic stop on Oct. 2.

The woman driving the car wasn’t charged but the passenger, Jerry Francis Sack, 55, was arrested by Indian Brook RCMP.

In a news release, RCMP reported that Sack was in possession of hydromorphone, Dilaudid, and Percocet pills.

Sack was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He was released and is scheduledto appear in Truro provincial court Nov. 27.
