Families matter program being offered locally

TRURO – If someone close to you is experiencing a mental health problem there’s an 11-week program that could provide needed help.

Families Matter in Mental Health provides support, education and coping strategies for family and friends of people with mental health issues.

The program is provided through a partnership between the Nova Scotia Health Authority and the Colchester-East Hants branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association. It begins Tuesday, Sept. 27 and runs each Tuesday, with the final session on Dec. 6. Meetings are held at Soup Café, 563 Prince Street, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
