DEC. 30 – Good Neighbours Seniors Club. 21 Palmer St., Truro. Every Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. Prizes, tea and goodies.

New Year’s Eve band

DEC. 31 – Concert by Nowhere Road. 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Truro Horsemen’s Club. $10 in advance at the club on Nov. 20 and $15 at the door. Also playing at the club’s levee from 2 to 6 p.m. on New Year’s Day.

New Year’s Eve dance

DEC. 31 – Royal Canadian Legion, Brunswick Street, Truro. 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Music by Andy Leblanc. $20 per person. Tickets on sale at the bar. Everyone welcome.

JAN. 1 – Salmon River fire hall. Noon to 2 p.m. Hosted by the brigade and new executive for 2015. Serving chowder and eggnog. Entertainment by Countrified.

New Year’s Day levee

JAN. 1 – Stewiacke Valley Museum. 5445 Hwy. 289. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hosted by the Stewiacke Historical Society. 

Junior Lego

JAN. 2 – Truro library. 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. For children ages five to seven. Registration opens Dec. 27 by calling 902-895-1625.

Dance

JAN. 3 – Upper Musquodoboit Community Hall. 8 p.m. Shared lunch. Music by Perfect Time with Henry Moore, Lois Parnum and others.

Pancake breakfast

JAN. 3 – Truro fire hall. 9 a.m. to noon. $5 a plate. Fundraiser for Trurobotics and Lego Intelligence.

Kitchen party

JAN. 3 – Debert and area kitchen party. Debert Lodge Hall. 1191 Plains Rd. 1 p.m. Light lunch. Everyone welcome.
