Colchester: Starting the weekend with hockey, condom wrappers and wings


The weekend could include a few showers.

It was 11 C at 5:30 a.m. and today’s forecast high is 24 C, with sun and cloud, and a low of 11 C tonight.

Saturday’s forecast includes a few showers and a high of 19 C, dropping to 12 C overnight.

Sunday is expected to be 20 C with a mix of sun and cloud


Plenty of Pets

Jiminy Cricket and his brothers, Simba and Stitch, are looking for loving homes.

Cricket and Simba are almost always together so it would be great if they could go to the same home. Stitch is comfortable fitting in with almost anyone.

These boys will be neutered before going to their new homes. The adoption fee is $125 per kitten.

Fuel prices:

The cost of filling your tank went down a little overnight.

Gasoline dropped a fraction of a cent and is now $1.07.1 per litre.

Diesel is down 1.6 cents, to a new price of 98.3 cents per litre.
