It was 8 C at 6:30 a.m. and today’s forecast high is 16 C, with a 30% chance of showers, and a low of 10 C tonight.

It should be around 16 C on Saturday, with sun and cloud.

Sunday is expected to be warmer, with a high of 20 C, and a mix of sun and cloud.

Monday’s forecast includes periods of rain, with a high of 21 C.

Plenty of Pets

Chester Copper Pot was discovered along a stretch of road in a wooded area. When a woman got out of her car and knelt down, speaking to him, he hopped over and sniffed her hand.

She put him on a towel on the passenger side of the car and he was soon stretched out on his side. His rescuer stopped to see if he was okay, but he was only relaxing.

Chester Copper Pot was soon in the care of 10,000 Carrots Rabbit Rescue. He had ticks removed and is on medication, and will have to have a badly damaged eye sewn shut once he gains enough strength to go under anesthetic. He will also be neutered. One ear had a chunk missing, but is healing well.

Chester was someone’s pet in the past and was lucky to survive long enough to be rescued. Many domestic rabbits are released when people no longer want them. These animals don’t know how to survive in the wild and usually have very short lives, filled with fear and suffering, once they’re abandoned.

10,000 Carrots Rabbit Rescue has several spayed/neutered, vet checked, litter-trained bunnies now waiting for homes. For more information email 10000carrotsrescue@gmail.com or visit www.facebook.com/10000CarrotsRabbitRescue/ or www.10000carrots.com
