Plenty of Pets

Taleigha is here to remind everyone of the Wayward Cats book fair being held at the Colchester Legion Stadium on Friday and Saturday.

The sale takes place Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

There are thousands of gently used books, for children and adults, to choose from.

All of the money raised through this event will help homeless cats.

Wayward Cats has cats living in feral colonies spayed and neutered, and finds them barn homes if they don’t have someone caring for them.

Kittens, and cats that are found to be friendly, are placed up for adoption.

Taleigha was part of a feral colony when she was born. When she was picked up, her eyes were stuck shut because of respiratory infection. She’s now living in a home where she has another cat, dogs and people to play with, and she’s confident that she’s the boss.
