TRURO, N.S. — There’s a winter storm warning in effect and people are advised to postpone non-essential travel. Visibility will be reduced to near zero at times in heavy and blowing snow and roads surfaces will be slippery.

It was -7C at 6:30 a.m., and today’s high is expected to be -2C, with snow and ice pellets, and freezing rain in the afternoon. The forecast calls for 15-25 cm of snow and ice pellets. The overnight low will be around -8C, with flurries.

Tomorrow’s high will be around -3C, with a 30% chance of flurries, and an overnight low of -15C.
