For those who have ever longed to work with weed in a legal capacity, now could be your chance.
With cannabis legalization now in effect, the Truro Herbal Company (THC) is getting set to hire the increased level of staff it will require to handle the anticipated demand for its recreational products.
To that end, the company, which is located in the Truro Business Park, is planning a job fair for Saturday (Nov. 3) at the Best Western Glengarry on Willow Street.
“With the legalization of adult-use cannabis and the excitement surrounding
the launch of recreational product, Truro Herbal hopes many local job seekers will be interested in
a rewarding career with an exciting, growth-oriented company,” THC said, in a news release.
The fair is intended to provide an opportunity for individuals from diverse backgrounds across many
disciplines to meet with management and staff to introduce themselves, submit resumes and learn
more about the roles that will become available when the facility begins production.
Truro Herbal anticipates the facility will require up to 50 full-time employees, so it can begin ramping up over the coming
months in advance of cultivation reaching full capacity by next spring.
In addition to the Head of Security position currently advertised, future opportunities include
cultivation team members, skill trades, IT technicians, packaging and fulfillment personnel,
cleaning & sanitation and general labour.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a resume and complete a short survey to outline their
experience and suitability for various roles. Interested candidates unable to attend may submit

The job fair is to run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
