BIBLE HILL, N.S. — Colby Devon McMaster, 25, of Bible Hill, has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a Main St. coffee shop.
On June 3, just before 9 p.m., Colchester District RCMP responded to a call of an armed robbery with a firearm.
Two employees were in the store when the suspect came in, pointed a gun at them, screamed at them to put money in a duffle bag, and knocked a till over. The suspect is described as a man wearing a white mask, a black hoodie, black gloves, dark pants and footwear. He fled the store on foot and the employees called 911.
Colchester District RCMP responded, and requested a Police Dog from Truro Police Service to assist them. In total, one man and three women were arrested in connection with the robbery. Two of the females were released without charges, while the third female and the male were held in custody overnight. The female was released in the morning, while the male was charged and taken to Truro Provincial Court on June 4.
McMaster has been charged with robbery and wearing a mask while committing an indictable offence. He has been remanded and is scheduled to return to court on June 11.
On June 4, RCMP, with assistance from a police dog team, searched the area and located some money and an handgun. A home on Main St. was also searched, and evidence of the robbery was recovered.
The investigation is ongoing.
