TRURO, N.S. —  Being on schedule is important when you’re an elf.

People who picked a stocking from one of the United Way Giving Trees are reminded to drop off a gift for a senior by the end of the day on Friday, Dec. 13.

Gifts will be distributed to senior care facilities next week so seniors who might not otherwise get a gift will have something to open on Christmas morning.

If anyone with a stocking tag is unable to purchase a gift, they’re asked to return the tag to the United Way office, 90 Esplanade Street, Suite 2, or call the office.
