CROWES MILLS, NS
An 82-year-old man from Quebec was taken to hospital via LifeFlight after his vehicle overturned and caught on fire on Boxing Day.
The single vehicle collision took place in the westbound lanes of Highway104, in Crowes Mills. After the small black truck overturned and came to rest in the ditch, a fire started in the vehicle. Another person arrived and extinguished the fire and the driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Highway 104 was reduced to one lane while Colchester District RCMP examined the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
