SYDNEY, N.S. — An estimated 100 people stood in front of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Thursday morning to protest emergency room closures, long wait times, and the lack of doctors in Cape Breton.
The protest was staged by the Yellow Vests of Cape Breton Island group. Locally, between 40 and 100 members of the local yellow vest movement have been staging weekly largely anti-Justin Trudeau protests in front of the Provincial Building on Prince Street and Sydney-Victoria MP Mark Eyking’s office on Kings Road to oppose the Canadian carbon tax and the United Nations migration pact.
