NORTH RIVER, N.S. — The grape harvest at Goose Landing Vineyard is a go for this Sunday as forecast rainy weather has pushed it back a day.

Organizers are expecting roughly 30 volunteers to come and pick grapes on the morning of Oct. 13. The grapes will be taken to Benjamin Bridge in the Gaspereau Valley for fermentation.

The grape-picking will run from 8:30 a.m. to about midday. Afterwards, people can sample top-quality Nova Scotian wine and enjoy a light lunch.

People wishing to volunteer can come to Goose Landing Vineyard, located behind the Raging Crow Distillery at 592, Hwy 311 in North River.
