TRURO, N.S. —

People ran, walked and biked in the battle against cancer on Sept. 15.
Not everyone in the Terry Fox Run was running. Some walked or biked, while others enjoyed the scenery from a comfortable seat.

There were about 125 participants in this year’s Terry Fox Run and about $6,000 has already come in, with donations still arriving
Students from the Community Recreation Program at NSCC organized the event, monitored the trail, provided crossing guards at the crosswalks and cheered people on.
There were teams from CEC Soccer, CEC Cross Country, Truro Run Tribe and Burchell MacDougall taking part this year.
Donations can still be made at the NSCC Sport and Wellness Centre, until the middle of October, and online at www.terryfox.org .
