WINDSOR, N.S. — Not for the faint of heart, Quick As A Wink Theatre is bringing Dracula to life at King's-Edgehill School in Windsor this month.

Complete with an eerie atmosphere and blood and gore, the play, not intended for youth under 13 years of age, has been well received by audiences so far.

The play follows Dracula’s journey to England and a small group’s efforts to thwart his thirst for blood, while trying to stay alive themselves.

The show features the acting talents of Ryan MacNab as Dracula, Ian Grainger as Abraham Van Helsing, Andy Ashdown as Jonathan Harker, Erica Fitzgerald as Mina Murray, David Foley as psychologist Dr. John Seward, Jeannie Myles as Lucy Westenra, Mike Butler as Renfield, Ally Loiselle and Nicole Saulnier as vixens, and Ashley Wood and Carl Wills as attendants.

The play was held Oct. 18-20 and wraps up Oct. 25-26; with remaining shows at 7 p.m. and a special matinee Oct. 26 at 2 p.m.

Tickets cost $20 for an adult; $16 for a student or senior. The show is PG-13; viewer discretion is advised as some scenes may be scary.

Tickets can be purchased online at QAAW.ca or by visiting The Spoke and Note in Windsor.
