Scholarship money for Glace Bay students

Members of the Bulldogs men’s slo-pitch team recently donated $3,000 to Glace Bay High School for memorial scholarships based on academic excellence. The money was raised during the 16th annual Butch Kelloway Memorial Men’s Slo-Pitch Tournament, hosted by the Coors Light Bulldogs team and the Main Event Beverage Room. The scholarships include several in honour of Kelloway and another in honour of David Hanrahan, two former Bulldog players who have died. In 16 years, the event has donated more than $53,000 to 114 students.
