SYDNEY, N.S. — It’s all about Cape Breton and on Friday, the annual Cape Breton Catalogue will be included in the Cape Breton Post.

The catalogue promotes Cape Breton writers and books and is sent by insert, mail and email to more than 35,000 targeted homes in Cape Breton and across North America.

While providing a link to past publications, the catalogue also features new books from major writers such as Linden MacIntyre, Lesley Crewe and Lynn Coady. It also promotes smaller publishers like Boularderie Island Press which has released a biography of Lillian Burke and her contributions to rug hooking as well as self-published works like Colin Waye's “To Whom Do You Belong” and a Polish colouring book created by Tom Urbaniak and Jeff Wilson.

"We are proud of this opportunity to display the achievement of Cape Breton writers," said Ron Caplan, the publisher of Breton Books. "There are challenges. For example, shipping charges are a big cost to those worldwide who want the island's books. Happily, many stores and gift shops on island and away display Cape Breton books all year-round. So the Cape Breton Catalogue turns out to be both an order-catalogue and a major advertisement for Cape Breton books."

All books can also be ordered online through www.capebretonbooks.com.
