TRURO, N.S. —  Three musical friends are together for the holidays and ready to share the sounds of the season.

Brenna Conrad, Rachel O’Brien and Andrew Morrisey are presenting ‘I’ll be Home for Christmas’ at venues in Halifax, Truro and New Glasgow.

“We’ve never done a holiday show together before, so this is very exciting,” said Morrisey. “We’ll be doing a lot of Christmas songs, some traditional and some newer ones, and throwing in some musical theatre and cabaret numbers.”

He and Conrad will each perform pieces, accompanied by O’Brien on piano, and plan to join their voices for at least one song.

“I’m really looking forward to this because the audiences in Nova Scotia are great,” said Morrisey. “They’re so reactive, and I feel the love and support. There are no audiences like them.

“It’s also lovely to come back to Truro and stay with family and see people I’ve grown up with and people who’ve inspired me. Every time, it’s like a reunion.”

The holiday shows provide fans with the last chance to hear Morrisey, Conrad and O’Brien perform together for a while. They usually put together a summer event, but O’Brien will be working with the Shaw Festival, at Niagara-on-the-Lake, for most of 2020.
