TRURO, N.S. — Some local musicians are among the list of nominees for Nova Scotia Music Awards.
Bill Elliott’s album ‘Bill Elliott CCGP’ has been nominated in the jazz recording of the year category. ‘The Tucker Blues Group - A Few Tunes... featuring Ben Tucker’ is a nominee for blues recording of the year, and Alan Syliboy & The Thundermakers are nominated in the indigenous artist category.
The Marigold Cultural Centre is nominated in two categories; community presenter, and venue of the year.
Awards will be presented during the Music Nova Scotia Awards Celebration at the Holiday Inn on Sunday, November 10. The event is part of Nova Scotia Music Week (NSMW), which will see musical events held throughout Truro Nov. 7-10.
