Kilt-ober celebration being held in Debert

DEBERT, N.S.

Kilts and jack-o-lanterns can be combined on Oct. 13, when Kilt-ober is held in Debert.

Scottish heavy event competition will include hammer throwing, stone putting and the famous caber toss.

There will also be pumpkin carving, bouncy castles, a barbecue and more. Children should bring their own pumpkin carving tools.

The event will take place at the Debert Days field, 87 Ventura Drive, rain or shine, on Saturday, Oct. 13 from noon until 5 p.m.
