Hey there... it's me, Kathy: Waiting for the plan

I’m happy to report last week was a better week.

My pain level was a six and most of that was in my wrist and headaches, and my eyes are still seeing black spots. But I have been trying my hardest to drink the water that I’m supposed to. I'm doing a pretty good job at it too.

I have not received a call from the doctors (as of press time) to see what they are going to do with my brain since being diagnosed with a tumour. The doctors are having their meeting to discuss my care so as soon as they know what they are going to do I will go to Halifax to get an operation. I am not scared of going; I'm scared of waiting too long in case the tumour starts to grow and spreads.

Also, the VON started coming last week and they make sure I'm taking my medicine correctly and on time. They also take my blood pressure because it's always been low.

I have a couple of friends who need your prayers. I want you to send prayers for my son-in-law’s grandfather in Ontario. He really needs your prayers now, and for his grandmother and my friend Doris to get through these hard times.  Thank you in advance because I know you will. I pray right along with you and also for all my readers so your stress or troubles will be gone soon.

Tip of the week - if there are a lot of people in a hot tub that you are considering going in, don’t do it. There will be too much bacteria in the water and because the water is warm the bacteria is growing at a very fast rate. And when you get out of the pool or hot tub make sure you take a shower before you get dressed and dry off really well. When you get home wash your bathing suit by hand and hang it to dry … it will last you longer and the germs will hopefully be gone.

My puppy Thunder got his second needle last week. I had a hard time holding him but we got through it. He has to get another one next month. He has such a nice temperament. He is nine months old and he has not tried to bite me once. We are having a little trouble with the house training, but it’s coming.

Also, everything is so much bigger than him that he is scared of flowers and they are the ground cover ones. He likes to nap a lot because everything wears him out - after all he is only a baby. He is still 6.9 pounds.
