Hey there.. it's me, Kathy: Feeling human again

I’m hoping this week will be better than last week.

I didn't participate in the New Glasgow flea market like I hoped to last week. I was feeling very weak. I actually went in and then didn't even open before I ended up turning around and going home. I have been feeling better and I’m  eating and drinking water which, for me, is a must. My hands are still giving me a lot trouble, however. It's like the fingertips are pins and needles.

In other medical news, I have two weeks left of being on the steroids. The doctors are getting me off some of the pills I'm on and that should make me feel human again -  I sure hope so! The steroids have increased my weight to to 153. I can’t believe that!

Also, I had chemo again it went well. Two weeks to go until the next treatment.

In other news, I got my dog Thunder's nails done last week at Barkin  Beauties in Westville. They do a great job and don't cost too much. And I don’t have to fight with him to get them done!

I have a few tips of the week to share with you. The first is that I notice a lot more people saying hello to strangers lately. I think that’s great, especially when a big smile accompanies it.

Second tip … when you are getting a shower, make sure you are facing the taps because if you have a tumble you don't hit the faucet.

Thank you for the continued letters and gifts and putting me on your prayer lists. It truly touches my heart. Have a good week!
