ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — St. John's-based Target Marketing and Communications was named Canada's small agency of the year at the Agency of the Year (AOY) awards presented by Strategy, Canada’s national marketing industry journal of record.

Target earned the honour for three campaigns in 2019; The Mount Pearl Anthem, Crime Stoppers Newfoundland and Labrador's Project Anonymous and it's Newfoundland and Labrador tourism advert about Storytelling.

Target’s tourism work was also awarded the prestigious ‘Best Campaign’ award at the Agency of the Year gala event.

“This place is the farthest east you can go in North America without getting wet,” Noel O’Dea, Founder and Director of Strategic and Creative Planning, stated in a press release.

“It’s about as far as you can get from the centre of the advertising universe in Toronto, New York, and London. So lots of people said we were nuts. We didn’t care. Newfoundlanders are used to that.”
