COME BY CHANCE, N.L. — North Atlantic Refining Limited Partnership (NARL) is on the hunt for a new Chief Executive Officer with news that Thomas Jenke is retiring effective Nov. 15 after just a few months on the job.

Jenke joined NARL as its Chief Operations Officer (COO) in 2018 and was promoted to CEO in July of this year.

A news release announcing his departure says Jenke's "approach to sustainable business operations will have a long-lasting impact on NARL", which has "has transformed to a market-responsive, operationally excellent, and environmentally sensitive industry leader, on track to become the fourth largest refinery in Canada by 2021."

“As a company, we have benefited greatly because of the vision and culture (Jenke) has instilled at the refinery,” stated Kaushik Amin, Partner, Silverpeak and Board Chair of NARL.

Jenke and his family are returning home to Germany.

NARL has initiated a search for a new CEO. Current COO Jette Enevoldsen will assume the responsibilities of CEO in the interim.
