Just Us!, just helping out! 

“VictoriUS!” a title in tribute to William Hall VC, is the first release in a series of specialty coffees launched this passed year by Just Us! Coffee Co-op of Grand Pre in celebration of African Heritage Month.

The local roasters took on another community initiative this year, Just Us! who, in a surprising partnership, took an opportunity to transport the green Arabica coffee beans using a low-carbon footprint. The co-op teamed up with Timbercoast, owners and operators of the German schooner Avontuur, a tall ship transport vessel. 

A pallet of sacks filled with coffee beans is hoisted from the cargo hold of Avontuur, a two-masted schooner docked in Halifax.
