Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA) is renovating the airport to enhance security at Halifax Stanfield.
During construction, screening may be delayed. Passengers are being asked to arrive early to allow ample time to clear security.
Halifax Stanfield will be receiving Canadian Air Transport Security Authority Plus security screening lines, which the airport authority describes as combining the latest technology and processes.
The high-performance lines are designed to improve customer service and passenger flow while also enhancing security effectiveness, it was stated in an airport news release. The renovations are expected to take six months.
