Aqualitas Inc. of Liverpool, a licensed producer of certified organically grown cannabis, says it has been awarded a sales licence by Health Canada.
“This is a monumental milestone for our company, and one that we have been working toward for more than four years,” CEO Myrna Gillis said in a recent news release. “Our sales licence will allow us to enter the Canadian medical and recreational marketplaces, as well as fulfil international supply agreements.”
The company stated that it will soon register a limited number of medical clients and ensure its e-commerce platform and fulfilment processes are running smoothly before opening registrations up more broadly.
The sales licence also permits Aqualitas to sell its products in the adult-use marketplace. Management said it anticipates Nova Scotia Liquor Corp. will be selling its recreational brand, Reef, by early May.
“We’re pleased that our initial recreational roll-out will be to Nova Scotians. We have been so well-supported by this province and so proud to make our home on the beautiful south shore. We’re excited that Nova Scotians will be the first to try our certified organically grown Reef products,” Gillis said in the statement.
Aqualitas is a women-led licensed cannabis producer located outside of Liverpool. It is Canada’s first Clean Green Certified cannabis producer — a recognition of its commitment to organic management practices, compliance, quality and sustainability.
Aqualitas has a commitment to becoming a global leader in the provision of safe, affordable, organically grown cannabis.
