Phil Vogler says "life is grand". It sure is. On Saturday, he snapped this beauty: a muted 6 a.m. sunrise from the wharf at D'Escousse, Isle Madame, N.S. He watched as a school of mackerel churned the water next to the wharf and the silhouettes of various types of gulls, kingfishers, ospreys and great blue herons whizzed by.
