ANTIGONISH, N.S. – Matt Hunter enjoyed success in the pool on opening day at the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games.
The Truro swimmer finished third in the 200m butterfly event on Wednesday and was among a contingent of Nova Scotia athletes who fared well in the water.
Caleb Lake of Shubenacadie was fourth in the 50m backstroke event.
Hunter is enjoying a busy summer in the pool. Last week, he represented Canada at the Down syndrome world championships at the RECC in Truro, where he won gold and silver medals.
