Truro’s Gaudet wins peewee golf tournament title

TRURO, N.S. – It was a great day on the fairways and greens at Truro Golf Club for Zach Gaudet.

The 11-year-old carded an 18-hole score of 83 to win the Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) Atlantic Linkster event by two strokes over Truro clubmate Simon Mullen.

Eight players competed in the peewee division.

The Linskter tour features six tournaments, including events later this month at Moncton Golf and Country Club and Grandview Golf and Country Club in Dartmouth. The finale will be played Aug. 18 and 19 at Abercrombie.
