GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – Truro’s Daniel Perigo has signed a pro contract with the Adirondack Thunder of the East Coast Hockey League.

Perigo, 24, played the past three seasons with the University of Waterloo Warriors in Ontario. He finished his collegiate career with 36 points on 12 goals and 24 assists in 79 regular-season contests. He led the Warriors in scoring last season with six goals and 21 points.

Before university, the six-foot, 185-pound forward skated for three seasons with the Truro Bearcats of the Maritime Junior Hockey League, winning  a league championship in 2013-14. With the Bearcats, Perigo tallied 99 regular-season points (48-51) in 119 games.

The Thunder is the affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.

Perigo will be the second former member of the Bearcats to join the Thunder. Dana Fraser, of Tatamagouche, played for the ECHL team during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. Fraser, also a forward, played for the Bearcats for three seasons from 2007 to 2010.
